Key West Lobster Fest
A sun-soaked promotional film for the Key West Lobster Festival's annual mini-season celebration — warm color, immersive atmosphere, and a soft call to action that converts through desire, not urgency.
01 / The challenge
Key West has a distinct visual identity — sun-soaked, loose, and deeply local. The challenge was to translate that atmosphere into a video that felt authentic to island culture and polished enough to perform as a paid social ad.
The festival draws a specific crowd — Florida locals, divers, seafood lovers — and the creative had to speak to them directly without trying too hard.
02 / Our approach
We leaned into warm color grading — deep ambers, salt-bleached whites, and turquoise water tones that instantly read "Florida Keys." The edit follows the feeling of a day at the festival: arrival, the catch, the feast, the crowd.
Rather than a hard sell, we built the piece as an experience — letting viewers feel the day before the call to action arrives. For food and event content, desire drives action more than urgency.
03 / The outcome
The film was distributed across the festival's social channels and used in targeted paid campaigns across Florida, capturing the event's character in a format that feels native to the platform.
